Boyes back at Southcentral

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Todd Boyes, the inmate who walked out of the Southcentral Regional Jail Oct. 25, was rebooked in the Charleston facility Sunday evening.

Todd Boyes back in custody.

Boyes, 43,  was returned from Loredo, Texas, where he had fought extradition after being grabbed by border patrol in the Rio Grande River Oct. 29 trying to swim to Mexico.

Boyes wasn’t reported missing from the jail for more than 48 hours. Since his escape and arrest police have charged his mother for allegedly helping him and three jail workers on the misdemeanor charge of permitting escape.

Boyes skipped town just before his scheduled sentencing on a number of charges connected to a police pursuit. That sentencing has been rescheduled for this week.
