Authorities seeking help in finding missing Fayette woman

FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. — The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department is still searching for a woman who has been missing for over a year.

Georgia Stone, 56 of Hilltop.

Georgia Stone, 56, went missing on December 5, 2016 in the Hilltop area of Fayette County. She was last seen at her Sanger Road residence.

Stone is originally from Nicholas County. Investigators say they have been following leads in both counties but she could be anywhere in West Virginia.

Stone was last seen wearing a red sweatshirt and blue jeans. She is described as a white female, 5’2″ and weighing around 140 pounds.

She has brown hair, blue eyes and frequently wears eyeglasses. She does not have any known tattoos or birthmarks.
