Charges upgraded to murder for suspects wanted in West Side shooting

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — Charges for two men wanted in connection with a shooting on Charleston’s West Side have been upgraded to murder.

The shooting victim, Terrell Davenport, 27, of South Charleston died of his injuries Friday at CAMC General.

Police have search warrants out for Jayrionte Thomas, 18, and Marcus Young, 19, both of Detroit, Michigan.

Each suspect is facing charges of first degree murder, malicious wounding and wanton endangerment.

The shooting happened at the West Side Market and Deli on the 1700 block of 7th Avenue.

Police said Davenport was shot multiple times.
