Wyoming County teacher, coach arrested for sending inappropriate messages

CLEAR FORK, W.Va. — A Wyoming County Schools employee faces multiple charges after allegedly sending inappropriate messages to four students.

Zachary Shane Cox, 30 of Clear Fork, is a baseball coach and teacher for West Side High School.

Wyoming County Sheriff’s Department Chief Deputy Jimmy White told MetroNews affiliate WJLS one of the four students he sent the messages to reported him to the school’s principal.

Some of the alleged messages included lewd photos.

Cox faces four counts of Use of Obscene Matter to Solicit a Minor. He is currently being held at the Southern Regional Jail in Raleigh County on $60,000 bond.
