BLUEFIELD, W.Va. — Bluefield receiver and defensive back Isaiah Johnson Wednesday night won MVP honors in the FBU freshman all-American Bowl.

The game, played in Naples, Florida, featured 70 freshmen from around the country, with Johnson the only representative from West Virginia.

Johnson finished the game with an 85-yard kickoff return for a touchdown and also took home the defensive MVP honor.

A part of Bluefield’s 14-0 Class AA state championship team, Johnson collected four catches for 40 yards this past season as a freshman with the Beavers.
