Fayette County wreck claims life

KIMBERLY, W.Va. — A man was killed in a collision Thursday afternoon in Fayette County, authorities said.

Mark Munsey, 61, of Kimberly, was traveling west on Armstrong Creek Road in Powellton  at around 2:30 p.m. when he drove into the path of an oncoming coal truck. The coal truck then hit two abandoned buildings before stopping

Munsey died at the scene. The coal truck is hospitalized in stable condition.

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office is investigating.
