Detroit man arrested in connection with Charleston murder

DETROIT, Mich. — One of two men wanted in connection with a recent shooting death in Charleston was arrested in Detroit, Friday by U.S. Marshals.

Marcus Young, 19, was taken into custody. Young along with Jayrionte Thomas, 18, also of Detroit, are charged with murder in connection with the Dec. 14 shooting of Terrell Davenport on Charleston’s West Side.

Davenport, 27, of South Charleston, died at Charleston General Hospital a day after the shooting. He was shot multiple times.

Young will face extradition from Michigan back to West Virginia. Police are still looking for Thomas.
