WELCH, W.Va. — The Welch Detachment of the West Virginia State Police announced late Tuesday they arrested Angela Pistorius, 36 of Iaeger, for the armed robbery of a Dollar General store in Lex on Christmas Eve.

Pistorius was caught robbing a Marathon gas station in Iaeger Tuesday. She confessed to committing both crimes while being questioned. Troopers say she allegedly wore a ski mask and presented a pistol in both robberies.

She faces two counts of first-degree armed robbery. Pistorius also already had a warrant for fraudulent schemes.

LEX, W.Va. — West Virginia State Police are investigating an armed robbery at a McDowell County Dollar General store on Christmas Eve.

Troopers said Tuesday the incident happened at around 7:30 in the evening at the store located a few miles north of Bradshaw. An unidentified, white female entered the store wearing blue jeans, a black jacket with a hood and a ski mask.

The suspect is also identified as 5’10” with blue eyes and a raspy voice. The female allegedly presented a pistol and demanded money from a store employee.

Witnesses said she got away with cash and fled in a getaway vehicle. State Police are still evaluating surveillance video for a vehicle description.
