PHILIPPI, W.Va. — Authorities are investigating the cause of a Wednesday morning fire in Barbour County.

The fire started just before 8 a.m. Wednesday at a home along Brushy Fork Road. No one was inside of the home at the time of the fire.

Dispatchers said the extent of damage to the house is unclear at this time. The State Fire Marshal has been called to investigate the cause.
