Cabell County man charged in murdering person, hiding body

MILTON, W.Va. — A Cabell County man has been charged with murder after allegedly killing a person and later hiding the body.

According to West Virginia State Police, 30-year-old Brian Bragg, of Milton, is accused of killing Michael Sutphin.

Troopers said Bragg came to the Huntington detachment saying he killed a man and had hidden the body in a stolen van.

Bragg later said the van wasn’t stolen and changed his story several times.

Sutphin’s body appeared to be frozen and was found covered in debris. A motive is not known at this time.

Bragg was charged with second-degree murder and concealing a human body.
