Woman charged after apparent overdose death in Morgan County

MORGAN COUNTY, W.Va. — A Morgan County woman has been charged with attempting to conceal and dispose of a body.

Deputies with the Morgan County Sheriff’s Department arrested Crystal Greene, 34, after the body of Joshua Mitchell, 33, was found in Greene’s apartment on Jan. 14.

Investigators said Mitchell died from a suspected overdose.

Several hours after Mitchell’s death, the allegation is Greene tried to get several people to help her move his body and did not contact law enforcement officers or emergency service personnel.

On Tuesday, Greene was being held in the Eastern Regional Jail on charges of both concealment and a probation revocation.

Bail was set at $10,000 cash only.
