Police release name of woman killed in I-64 crash

MILTON, W.Va. — Police have released the name of the woman killed in winter storm-related crash on Interstate 64 Tuesday afternoon in Cabell County.

Bridgett Sacks, 19, of Eleanor, died after losing control of her vehicle heading east on I-64 near Milton. Her vehicle struck a guardrail and went into the back of a tractor trailer that was stopped in the emergency lane, Milton police said.

The crash caused another accident involving a handful of vehicles. All lanes of I-64 were closed for several hours.

It was snowing at the time of the crash at just before 1 p.m. Tuesday.
