WILLIAMSPORT, Md. — An accident Friday morning involving a car and a parked tractor-trailer on Lappans Road at Prosperity Lane near Williamsport, Maryland resulted in the death of an Inwood man.
The crash occurred around 4:30 this morning. Maryland State Police said 33-year-old Chad Walden struck the rear of the trailer with his Dodge Stratus and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police said the truck was waiting to enter a Save-A-Lot supermarket warehouse distribution center.
The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration was on the scene as well and had closed Lappans Road at Governor Lane Boulevard for several hours after the crash.
The investigation is ongoing.
