Authorities investigating weekend shooting in Mercer County

BRUSH FORK, W.Va. — Mercer County authorities are continuing the investigation into a fatal shooting Sunday evening in Brush Fork.

The shooting happened at 108 Riffe Court. Officials identified the victim as William Sims, of Bluefield, adding the shooting appears to be domestic violence related.

The Mercer County Sheriff’s Department is speaking with an involved party, who has been identified as a male.
