Buckhannon-Upshur remains No. 1 in girls Power Index

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — Buckhannon-Upshur (13-1) remains the No. 1 team in this week’s updated edition of the girls basketball Power Index on Wednesday, presented by Critical Power Management.

The Buccaneers (13-1) have won nine straight games since suffering its lone loss to North Marion back in December.

North Marion (12-1) comes in at No. 2 and is the highest rated team out of Class AA. The Huskies’ lone loss came to Keyser at the end of December.

Parkersburg (9-2) is No. 3, Greenbrier East (12-1) No. 4, Fairmont Senior (13-2) No. 5, Morgantown (9-4) No. 6, Parkersburg South (9-4) No. 7, George Washington (9-3) No. 8, Hampshire (11-3) No. 9 and Brooke (9-3) No. 10.

Undefeated Tucker County (11-0) is the highest rated team out of Class A, coming in at No. 15 overall.
