WHITE SULPHUR SPRINGS, W.Va. — For the 3rd time since taking office just more than a year ago, President Donald Trump will be visiting West Virginia this week.
On Monday, 3rd District Congressman Evan Jenkins (R-W.Va.) confirmed Trump would be part of the Republican Congressional Retreat at The Greenbrier Resort, the site Governor Jim Justice owns, which begins Wednesday.
“I look forward to personally welcoming him to West Virginia and hearing more from him just 48 hours after he delivers his State of the Union address to Congress,” Jenkins said in a statement.
“I have no doubt the President will be warmly welcomed in West Virginia and thank him for his continued support for West Virginia’s hardworking coal miners and families.”
Vice President Mike Pence is also scheduled to attend.
The GOP retreat focused on legislative strategy runs through Friday.
President Trump spoke in Huntington last August less than two weeks after addressing the National Boy Scout Jamboree in Fayette County.
