Logan County woman dead after crash with coal truck

CHRISTIAN, W.Va. — A Logan County woman has died following a Thursday accident with a coal truck.

The Logan County Sheriff’s Department told WSAZ-TV the fatal victim has been identified as Amanda Roberts, 39 of Man. An investigation has revealed her car was struck after she pulled out onto Route 80 near Christian in front of the coal truck.

Roberts, along with the coal truck driver, were transported to an area hospital for treatment. Roberts was pronounced dead at the hospital while the coal truck driver’s condition is unknown at this time.

The accident remains under investigation.
