Gallery: No. 6 Martinsburg girls to make state tournament return

MARTINSBURG, W.Va. — Martinsburg secured a spot in the girls basketball state tournament this week with a 47-33 win over Jefferson.

Kyaira Page scored 12 points in the win for the Bulldogs.

Martinsburg (18-7) earned the No. 6 seed in the state tournament next week and will face No. 3 Parkersburg on Thursday, March 8 at 7:15 p.m. in the quarterfinals.

Wednesday, March 7

Game 1: 11:15 a.m. – No. 2 Parkersburg South (20-3) vs. No. 7 Woodrow Wilson (14-10)

Game 2: 7:15 p.m. – No. 1 Buckhannon-Upshur (24-1) vs. No. 8 Spring Mills (12-13)

Thursday, March 8

Game 3: 11:15 a.m. – No. 4 Wheeling Park (17-6) vs. No. 5 George Washington (16-9)

Game 4: 7:15 p.m. – No. 3 Parkersburg (19-6) vs. No. 6 Martinsburg (18-7)

Friday, March 9

Game 5: 5:30 p.m. – Game 2 winner vs. Game 3 winner

Game 6: 9 p.m. – Game 1 winner vs. Game 4 winner

Saturday, March 10

7:15 p.m. – Class AAA girls basketball state championship
