PHILIPPI, W.Va. — Police are investigating what appears to be suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a 52-year-old Belington woman.
Laverne Louk was pronounced dead on scene after falling from a sixth floor balcony. Police said the balcony which Louk fell from was not at her home.
Louk was found outside of Baughman Towers around 4:45 a.m. Thursday.
Philippi Police Department is handling the investigation.
