Suspect shot by troopers in Mon County

MONONGALIA COUNTY, W.Va. — A wanted man is in stable condition following an officer-involved shooting in a rural part of Monongalia County.

Jason Masters is in Ruby Memorial Hospital after police opened fire on Masters during an attempt to serve warrants at a Bethel Road home in the Scotts Run area.

Masters was carrying a knife while walking in the roadway, according to police. Police said he ignored a series of warnings.

State Police is investigating the incident.
