Preston County bank robbery under investigation

KINGWOOD, W.Va. — A male suspect is on the loose after a robbery at the BB&T Bank on Main Street in Kingwood.

A man reportedly entered the bank around noon wearing black gloves, a black scarf, a black toboggan cap, and a gray sweatshirt. It’s unclear if he left with any cash, but reportedly left on foot without ever displaying a weapon.

The man in the photographs is believed to be in his late 20’s to early 30’s with a scruffy beard.

This is the second robbery in Kingwood in less than a week. On March 6, another person robbed the Tobacco Barn on East Main Street. No suspect has yet been captured.

Information can be relayed to the Preston County Sheriff’s Office at (304) 329-1611.
