FAYETTEVILLE, W.Va. — A man who currently lives in South Carolina turned himself in Friday on sexual abuse charges out of West Virginia.
The Fayette County Sheriff’s Department says Eric Morris, 24, was wanted for a string of alleged sex abuse and assault cases that happened between 2014-2015 while he lived in Pax and Montgomery.
An investigation by the Sheriff’s Department and the Fayette County “Just for Kids” Child Advocacy Center revealed the alleged victims were between the ages of 9 and 15.
Morris has been charged with felony offenses of 1st degree sexual assault inflicting serious bodily injury, 1st degree sexual abuse-forcible compulsion without consent, sexual abuse by a parent/guardian/custodian to a child and 10 counts of 3rd degree sexual assault with a person who is mentally defective/incapacitated.
Morris was released after posting $50,000 bond set by the Fayette County Magistrate’s Office.
