CHAPMANVILLE, W.Va. — Chapmanville Regional coach Brad Napier joined Hoppy Kercheval on ‘MetroNews Talkline’ to look back at his team’s first Class AA boys basketball state championship.
“It’s been great, it’s an unreal feeling,” Napier said. “It was a tall task, to say the least (to beat Fairmont Senior. They had no weaknesses on their team. But we had a really good team, too and I had a lot of confidence in our guys.
“They’ve really worked so hard for the last year, two years, three years to get to that point,” he continued. “These kids were determined. They played with an incredible amount of desire for the whole season. I’m just so proud of them.”
