Oak Glen with walk-off winner in eight innings over Moorefield

WASHINGTON, Pa. — Oak Glen rallied with a run in the seventh and a run in the eighth to beat Class A No. 6 Moorefield on Friday from Wild Things Park in Washington, PA.

A walk-off RBI single from Jonathan Creese scored Michael Lemley in the bottom of the eighth inning as the Golden Bears improved to 3-3 on the season.

Moorefield (2-3) led for the majority of the game, holding a 1-0 advantage into the bottom of the fifth before Oak Glen tied it up at 1-1.

The Yellow Jackets retook the lead in the top of the sixth, 2-1, on an RBI double from Hayden Baldwin.

An RBI double from Blake Almo with two outs in the bottom of the seventh ultimately sent the game into extra innings, scoring Josh Cline and tying the game at 2-2.

Cline finished 2 for 3 on the day to lead the Golden Bears, while Brent Moran finished with two hits and a run scored for Moorefield in the loss.

Kaleb Dailey picked up the win on the mound, going two innings of relief and giving up no runs. Cline finished with a no-decision on the mound, striking out nine and giving up two runs on three hits in six innings of work.

Garrett Haggerty suffered the loss for Moorefield, going seven innings and giving up two runs (one earned) on four hits.
