Fayette County woman killed in I-64 accident near Lewisburg

LEWISBURG, W.Va. — Authorities are investigating a Tuesday night fatal accident on I-64 in Greenbrier County.

The Greenbrier County Sheriff’s Department said it happened at around 7:30 at mile marker 171 westbound. The location was roughly two miles before the Lewisburg and Ronceverte exit.

A woman from Oak Hill, Fayette County was killed in the crash. Her identity has yet to be revealed pending family notification. A tractor trailer was involved in the wreck.

I-64 remained closed for about two hours while crews worked to clear the scene.
