Sweet Spot podcast: Hard-luck Ferns leaves linebacking unit thin again

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — What’s the backup plan for the backup plan now that Mountaineers linebacker Brendan Ferns has suffered a third consecutive season-ending injury?

Episode 35 of “The Sweet Spot with A.T” podcast sizes up West Virginia’s rapidly thinning linebacker unit, which already was damaged by the knee injury to Quandarius Qualls.

We also discuss Sagaba Konate taking a peek at the NBA draft, and we dig into the recruiting profiles of offensive linemen Zach Williamson and Parker Moorer and running back Tyler Goodson.

All that, plus a robust segment of audience participation in which one panelist excludes “Living on a Prayer” from his top four Bon Jovi songs.
