WINFIELD, W.Va. — Class AA No. 4 Winfield beat Poca on the road Tuesday night 16-4 in five innings for its sixth straight win.

Nick Edwards and Brett Morris both homered for the Generals, while Landen Fairchild collected three RBIs in the win. Morris and Sam Ingram both posted three hits apiece for Winfield as well.

Morris gave up three runs in one inning of work on the mound, while Hunter Vance threw four innings of relief, giving up one run on just two hits and striking out five.

Ethan Payne led Poca at the plate, going 2 for 3 with three RBIs.

Winfield improved to 11-2 on the season, while Poca dropped to 4-5.
