MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A Harrison County man passed away at Ruby Memorial Hospital Sunday, ten days following an officer-involved shooting in Reynoldsville.
An officer fired on Raymond Lyle Bell, 59, of Reynoldsville following a foot chase through a patch of woods.
Bell had an oustanding warrant for his arrest at the time of the shooting, according to Harrison County Sheriff Robert Matheny.
Matheny said Bell was armed and “pulled a gun” during the incident, which is when deputies opened fire.
The deputy, whose name was not released, was not injured in the incident.
