Woman killed in U.S. 60 head-on crash

SHREWSBURY, W.Va. — A head-on crash in eastern Kanawha County Friday afternoon claimed one life, authorities said.

Michelle Fox, 42, of Mt. Carbon, was killed and another woman, 77-year-old Lucille Ford of Hugheston, was critically injured in the U.S. Route 60 collision at Shrewsbury.

Investigators said it appeared one car came across the center line and hit the approaching vehicle. Kanawha County sheriff’s deputies are investigating.

The crash occurred at just after 3 p.m. The road gas since reopened.
