FAIRMONT, W.Va. — A body has been discovered in the Monongahela River following an extensive search, Clarksburg Police reported Monday.
Searchers and first responders found the body late this morning following a sweep of both the West Fork River in Harrison County and the Monongahela River in parts of Marion County.
The body has been sent to the West Virginia Medical Examiner’s Office for identification.
The response included efforts from first responders in Harrison County, Marion County, and Monongalia County.
