Cindy Daniel appointed as SSAC assistant executive director

PARKERSBURG, WV – Dr. Cindy Daniel has been appointed to serve as the assistant executive director of the WVSSAC. She will replace Ms. Kelly Geddis who will be retiring after 15 years of service with the commission.

Mrs. Daniel earned her Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership and completed her Education Specialist Degree in Superintendency and Doctoral Degree in Education Leadership from Marshall University.

Mrs. Daniel began her teaching career with Kanawha County Schools in 1984 where she taught and coached boys tennis for three years.

In 1996 she became assistant principal of Riverside High School, she went on to work as assistant superintendent for Kanawha and Putnam County Schools and later served as deputy state superintendent for the West Virginia Department of Education.

As an experienced and well respected educational leader with thirty-three years of service in the West Virginia public school system, Mrs. Daniel will be an asset to the leadership of the WVSSAC.
