Clarksburg man succumbs to injuries from Thursday crash

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — The male victim of an early Thursday morning wreck is now dead, Clarksburg Police confirmed.

A male driver crashed on North 2nd Street in Clarksburg just before 5:30 a.m. Thursday. He was transported to United Hospital Center where he later died.

Police believe the victim may have had a health issue prior to the accident that caused his death.

The victim’s name is not released at this time.
