Carbon monoxide poisoning may be to blame for two deaths in Berkeley County

BERKELEY COUNTY, W.Va. — Two Berkeley County residents are the victims of what State Police said initially appeared to be carbon monoxide poisoning

The bodies of the two were found in a home near Martinsburg on Mercedes Drive early Saturday afternoon.

Family members made the initial discovery, according to emergency officials.

As of Sunday morning, the victims — said to be a woman and her father — were not being identified publicly.

State Police are investigating.

Members of the Baker Heights Fire Department assisted at the home after 12 p.m. Saturday.
