Lewis County man arrested on drug charges

WESTON, W.Va. — A Lewis County man is facing charges following a drug arrest Wednesday.

Russell Clarence Foster III, 41, was arrested and charged with possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and marijuana.

Upon searching Foster’s vehicle, authorities discovered 71.49 grams of methamphetamine, 3.54 grams of marijuana, and 10 clonazepam pills. In addition to confiscating the illicit drugs, deputies seized a 2005 Ford Explorer Sport Track, along with $139.00 in currency.

“Foster has been active in the drug trade for many years,” Sheriff Adam Gissy said in a news release Thursday. “I would like to consider this arrest the culmination of his long stint of drug distribution in our community.”

Additionally, Brooklyn Janelle Riffle, 19, will face a possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine charge for her involvement in the incident.
