Jackson County boy found safe

KENNA, W.Va. — Authorities in Jackson County say a three-year-old boy who was first reported missing Monday night was found safe on a farm a few miles from his home Tuesday morning.

It’s believed Makilynn Berry wandered into a wooded area at Bonny Knob Lane near Kenna at around 7:30 p.m. Monday. A search began not long after.

Authorities searched through the night. He was found at just before 10 a.m. Tuesday.

He was playing with a dog Monday night. The dog was located along Interstate 77.
