Ohio County magistrate suspended without pay following indictment

CHARLESTON, W.Va. — West Virginia Supreme Court Justice Margaret Workman has ordered the suspension of an Ohio County magistrate without pay after he was indicted on charges of wire fraud, bribery and tax fraud.

Ohio County Magistrate Harry Radcliffe III, 60, allegedly accepted bribes from W&S Bail Bonding, doing business as A Bail Bonding (ABC), of Wheeling.

He also is accused of hiding payments from state and federal tax offices.

The alleged crimes happened between January 2012 and April 2016.
