I-64 westbound closed in Greenbrier County after crash, fuel spill

Update 5.8.18, 5 pm:

LEWISBURG, W.Va. — Several days after a crash and fuel spill, both eastbound lanes of I-64 reopened Saturday afternoon.

Update 8:22 am: 

LEWISBURG, W.Va. — The West Virginia Department of Transportation has announced one lane has reopened on I-64 westbound between exits 169 and 175.

Expect delays through the area.

LEWISBURG, W.Va. — A portion of I-64 westbound remains closed following a tractor trailer accident overnight.

Greenbrier County Dispatchers say they received the call just after 10 Wednesday night. The crash occurred near mile marker 171. A large amount of fuel was spilled.

All motorists should take exit 175 in White Sulphur Springs, then route 60 to 219 northbound before rejoining I-64 westbound at exit 169 near Lewisburg.

Authorities are unsure when the road will reopen.
