Bond company owner, employee plead guilty to tax charges

WHEELING, W.Va. — A Florida man and Wheeling woman admitted Thursday to tax fraud following the announcement of a case involving an Ohio County magistrate and alleged acceptance of bribes.

William Seelbach, of Fort Meyers, Florida, is the owner of W&S Bail Bonding, doing business as A Bail Bonding by ABC of Wheeling. Seelback pleaded guilty to conspiracy to defraud the United States and failure to file an individual income tax return after failing to report $144,030 in income to the IRS.

Jolynn Gilchrist, of Wheeling, is a former employee of ABC. She pleaded guilty to a count of filing an inaccurate federal tax return for the 2015 tax year.

Seelbach and Gilchrist face up to five years in prison and a fine of up to $250,000 for each count.

The charges come after Ohio County Magistrate Harry Radcliffe III was indicted for soliciting and accepting bribes from W&S Bail Bonding.
