New Jersey man identified in fatal Monongalia County wreck

MORGANTOWN, W.Va. — A New Jersey motorcyclist has been identified in a fatal accident involving two vehicles last weekend.

Rodney L. Wilson, 56, of Mays Landing, New Jersey, died Saturday following the crash on Lazzelle Union Road that involved his bike and a truck.

The truck was driving northbound on Lazzelle Union Road when Wilson’s motorcycle crossed the center line while traveling southbound. Wilson hit the truck on the passenger side, according to the Monongalia County Sheriff’s Department.

The driver of the truck was identified as Ryan Michael Miller of Texarkana, Arkansas. Miller was not injured in the accident. The truck was registered to Oakley Sales Corporation in Ohio.

Wilson’s remains were sent to the County Medical Examiner’s office for follow-up testing.
