CAMPUS, W.Va. — An investigation continues after the body of a man missing for several weeks was found in Wyoming County.
Wyoming County Prosecuting Attorney Mike Cochran told MetroNews affiliate WJLS that Gregory May, also known as “Whitey”, was reported missing between May 26-29. May’s body was found Thursday near the community of Campus.
“We’re waiting on the autopsy to see what that tells us and further investigation as we go,” said Cochrane. “It’s still being worked out.”
Billy Osborne Jr and Stephanie Hunt were taken into custody Friday following an initial investigation. Further information led to the arrest of Curtis Osborne on Saturday. He was already being held at Southern Regional Jail on unrelated charges from Logan County.
All three face charges of disposal of human remains and conspiracy. Cochrane said a motive to the crime is unclear at this point.
May’s body has been sent to the state Medical Examiner’s Office.
