Father, daughter of Shinnston ID’ed as victims of fatal crash

WILSONBURG, W.Va. — Police have identified the victims of Tuesday’s fatal crash at the intersection of U.S. 50 and W.Va. 98 near Wilsonburg as a father and daughter of Shinnston.

Michael Moore, 48, and his daughter Braylie Moore, 17, were in one of the three passenger vehicles involved in the crash, Harrison County Sheriff Robert Matheny confirmed.

Three dump trucks, a pickup truck and a water tanker truck were also involved in the crash. Four others were transported to United Hospital Center. There is no update on their condition.

The Harrison County Sheriff’s Department is continuing to investigate the cause of the crash.
