CABELL COUNTY, W.Va. — A manhunt for a person accused of shooting his ex-girlfriend’s house was suspended Monday evening because of darkness.
Jeremy Bartram fired multiple shots at his ex-girlfriend’s home in Barboursville on June 20. The ex-girlfriend’s mother and brother were struck with gunfire, and a child was hit by shrapnel.
Authorities said they thought they saw Bartram near West Pea Ridge on Monday. Officers also exchanged gunfire with a man at Ridgelawn Cemetery, although the man escaped from the scene.
Investigators said the search will resume Tuesday morning.
