Two transported after multi-vehicle interstate crash near Clarksburg

CLARKSBURG, W.Va. — Two northbound lanes of Interstate 79 are closed at the 120 mile marker near Clarksburg after a Wednesday morning crash that involved five vehicles.

The crash occurred around 7:30 a.m. Wednesday at Bridgeport Hill.

Harrison County 911 dispatchers say northbound travel is still passable, though first responders are still on scene.

Two people were transported to United Hospital Center with unknown injuries.

Clarksburg Police Department, Clarksburg Fire Department and Harrison County EMS responded to the incident.
