HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Huntington and West Virginia officials believe a fuel odor at Fourpole Creek can be traced to a fuel tank at Cabell Huntington Hospital.

The West Virginia Department of Environmental Protection, the Huntington Sanitary Board and Huntington Fire Department have been investigating complaints for several days regarding an odor in the areas of Enslow Park and Southside of Huntington.

Officials said Wednesday diesel fuel possibly leaked into a stormwater line.

Personnel with the Cabell Huntington Hospital isolated the tank and are working to confirm the source of the leak.

Containment measures east of the Enslow Park bridge have been installed to catch any fuel.
