PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla. — The next PGA Tour event at the Greenbrier Resort won’t be played until the fall of 2019, according to a new schedule released Tuesday by the PGA Tour.

As has been widely speculated and then confirmed on MetroNews “Talkline” last week, PGA Tour officials planned to move A Military Tribute at The Greenbrier off of the July 4 week it has occupied since 2013.

The Tour did not include the Greenbrier in next season’s schedule, which starts in five months and concludes in August 2019. The Greenbrier and Houston Open will be part of the Tour’s plans for the 2019-20 schedule that begins in October 2019.

The 3M Open at TPC Twin Cities in Minnesota is taking the July spot the Greenbrier tournament has held.
