Vice President Pence to visit Wheeling

BECKLEY, W.Va. — Vice President of the United States Mike Pence is scheduled to visit the northern panhandle next week.

Only a few details are known about the planned visit. Non-profit America First Policies recently announced the date as Thursday, July 26. The organization’s website says Vice President Pence will discuss the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act and how it will impact the state and nation.

A previous announcement listed Beckley in southern West Virginia as a stop for Pence. America First Policies has since moved it to Wheeling.

“It originally was supposed to be in Beckley, but was switched to Wheeling,” said Communications Director Erin Montgomery.

A venue and start time for the event has yet to be announced. Visit americafirstpolicies.org for registration information.
