HUNTINGTON, W.Va. — Spring Valley rising senior lineman Zach Williamson has made his college commitment to Louisville, adding to the state’s list of D-I recruits for the Class of 2019.
“I’d like to thank God for everything he’s done for me and the opportunities he has given me,” Williamson said on Twitter. “I want to thank all of the coaches that offered me and that gave me a chance to play at the next level. Thank you to my family and friends for helping me through this whole process and believing in me.
“I want to give thanks to all of my coaches for pushing me and making me the player and man I am today,” he continued. “Saying all of that, I proudly announce that I am committed to the University of Louisville.”
Williamson is listed at 6-foot-6, 270 pounds.
Some of his other offers included West Virginia, Pitt, Vanderbilt, Wake Forest, Marshall, Northwestern, Indiana, Duke and Cincinnati.
Williamson’s commitment gives Spring Valley two D-I recruits on the offensive line, along with Ohio State commit Doug Nester who is also heading into his senior year.
