UPDATE: Suspect in April Beckley murder arrested in Ohio

BECKLEY, W.Va. — The man wanted for an April murder has been arrested in Ohio.

Beckley Police have announced Demorrea Curry, 22, was spotted in Columbus, Ohio. He was taken into custody thanks to a partnership between U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Forces in Beckley and Columbus.

Curry was wanted for allegedly fatally shooting Corey Henry on April 10 in the area of West Neville and Pike Streets.

BECKLEY, W.Va. — Beckley Police announced Wednesday morning they have identified the suspect in an April 10 shooting in the city.

Demorrea Curry, 22, is accused of shooting Corey Henry, 40 of Beckley, at around 4 am in the area of West Neville Street and Pike Street. Henry died later that day at Charleston Area Medical Center.

Curry is described as 5’11”, weighs about 220 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes. He has a warrant of first degree murder for his arrest.

Police said you should not approach Curry as he is considered armed and dangerous.
