Harrison County musician pleads guilty to sex crimes

HARRISON COUNTY, W.Va. — A Harrison County musician pleaded guilty Thursday to four felony charges of sex crimes involving teenage girls.

Joseph Virgil Prichard, 52, of Mannington, admitted to having sex with two victims at his home in Mount Clare. Prichard was previously a music teacher, and the girls had been his students.

Prichard also admitted to using alcohol and drugs, but was aware of his actions.

Prichard will be sentenced Oct. 25. He faces a sentence of between 22 years and 50 years and fines of up to $30,000.
