Fatal crash under investigation in Raleigh County

MOUNT HOPE, W.Va. — Authorities continue to investigate a crash that killed one person and injured three others.

The Raleigh County Sheriff’s Office responded to the 600 block of North Sandbranch Road Wednesday. Deputies learned a vehicle crossed the center line on a curve and hit the other vehicle head on. One driver was killed.

Three passengers, including the other driver, were taken to area hospitals for treatment. The crash remains under investigation.

The deceased driver’s identity has not been released by authorities.
